Flickering in the memory of a previous life, a similar but different band (Graham Travis) poured their hearts into the sounds of Seattle, charged by the excitement of hope and life to come.
Now a few years passed, and with the joys and complexities of an arrived life the music has evolved. marked with the revelation that while perspectives change, heartbeats remain. Slow Rivals is what happens when you cut your teeth, write, and play care-free in your youth, fall in love and make all the responsible choices while becoming an adult, and then find your footing and first love after a long break from being a band.
The music is as sincere and varied as it ever was, lofty and reaching harmony driven pop-rock at times, and anchored, earthy story-telling at others. Sometimes it rings of Band of Horses, Phoenix or Wilco, and other times it’s nostalgic like Neil Young and Springsteen. At the center of it all is melody, structure and story.

LACEY BROWN
Lacey Brown is a Seattle based artist, singer/songwriter, and producer with influences of folk, pop, and electronica. Follow Me Out is the long awaited third album in her discography. She is also the songwriter for a band called Poor Clare.
Brown’s voice is a treasure. If anyone could sound evocative and innocent at the same time, it is Lacey Brown. Playful but in control, it’s Lacey Brown. Bothered but constrained, Lacey Brown again. She has the type of pure, vibrant voice that one never gets tired of hearing.
