CHRISTOPHER HILL AND THE STARDUST CRUSH
Christopher Hill (Seattle WA.) released his first album: “Grace,” in 2014 and his second album: “Heart For A Glove,” in 2016 under the new moniker “Christopher Hill & The Stardust Crush.” “Heart for a Glove” was played on several radio stations including KDHX ST. Louis and KALX Berkeley. His latest Album: “Bare Bones,” was released in 2017. Christopher has performed in New Jersey, Philadelphia, Denver and Austin Texas with a focus on his home town of Seattle. Influenced by Mason Jennings and Black Mountain, he combines emotional folk-singing with heavy Psychedelia to create “Meditative Rock.” The backdrop of his recordings include electronic-noise, distorted animal calls, howling wind, storm rain and utility objects (for example: rattling chains). There’s also the faraway percussion of jack hammers, chain saws and the sharp chime of a giant titanium triangle. Listen to Track Six “Your Love” off the album: “Bare Bones” for this ambience. Balancing some of the psychedelia is the influence of the Beach Boys and U2. Listen to Track One: “Paradise” and Track Nine “Love Is A Circle of Stars,” from “Bare Bones,” for crystal-clear, melodic-punch!
